Album 2026 la lista dei dischi che usciranno

Il 2025 non è stato un anno di quelli che fanno gridare al miracolo o al capolavoro, l’ultimo risale al 2024, era il disco di Geordie Greep. L’anno che ci siamo lasciati alle spalle è stato piuttosto caotico e confuso, o meglio, è stato l’ennesimo anno dove si sono persi i generi musicali, ma questo accade oramai da una decina di anni, e forse è anche meglio, non mancano certamente dischi di metal, di post rock, di jazz, o di blues, in realtà ci troviamo di fronte a sub movimenti musicali che si intrecciano e che vengono filtrati attraverso l’esigenza di sperimentare.

Spesso escono dischi da dimenticare, dischi dai confini sfilacciati, indefiniti e mal gestiti, ma questo è il rischio che corre chi ha voglia di osare, chi ha voglia di scrivere musica fuori dalle consuete rotte rassicuranti; d’altro canto è un sentimento insito nell’animo umano quello di navigare a vista, quello di scoprire territori inesplorati, rischiando anche lo spiaggiamento.

Così, anche nel 2026 assisteremo ad una serie di pubblicazioni che promettono di scardinare le convenzioni strutturali della forma-canzone, ad esempio il panorama indie, che si è oramai liberato dalle ultime vestigia del revivalismo, per abbracciare una scrittura più scarna e, al contempo, tecnicamente rigorosa, e non mancheranno i contributi di chi opera ai margini, dove il suono si fa materia solida e la percezione temporale viene alterata.

Il 2026 si delinea dunque come un esercizio di resistenza culturale e musicale, che speriamo porti dei buoni dischi; in tutto questo arriveranno anche nomi storici e altisonanti (che non vuol dire aspettarsi grandi album), è il caso ad esempio del disco country di Ringo Starr con T Bone Burnett, il cui singolo non promette nulla di buono, poi i Fear Factory, con il nuovo cantante, romano, di Ostia (si avete letto bene) Milo Silvestro, uscirà anche quello che pare sarà l’ultimo album dei Ministry, il disco si chiamerà “The Squirrely Years Revisited“ conterrà dodici canzoni riregistrati risalenti al loro periodo synth-pop, e vedrà la reunion di Paul Barker e Al Jourgensen.

Tra gli Album 2026 la lista, attendiamo anche la roscia Tori Amos, con “In Times of Dragons” più una riedizione di “Strange Little Girls”, album di cover, il nuovo lavoro dei Muse, poi, forse, il disco del Boss Bruce Springsteen con un album di cover, mentre è oramai confermato il nuovo lavoro di Bjork che dovrebbe uscire a maggio; usciranno anche i dischi di: Deep Purple, Evanescence,  Flea, Gojira, Overkill, Papa Roach, Symphony X, in primavera usciranno anche i Trivium, mentre “Look Outside Your Window” sarà il nuovo degli Slipknot, e attendiamo anche il ritorno degli Smash Mouth, dei Mercury Comet, dei grandissimi Massive Attack, il nuovo dei Muse, dovrebbero uscire anche i dischi di: Korn, Father John Misty, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Interpol, Anthrax, Mitski, Paul McCartney, Incubus, The Afghan Whigs, Joanna Newsom, Black Label Society, Michael Stipe, Alice in Chains, Amira Elfeky, Kim Dracula, Foo Fighters, The Roots – End Game, siamo anche in attesa del nuovo album di Steven Wilson che uscirà in autunno; i King Crimson lo scorso anno erano in studio e hanno registrato del materiale che dovrebbe concretizzarsi nel 2026.

Capitolo Peter Gabriel: il 3 gennaio è uscito “Been Undone” il primo singolo. Il nuovo album si chiamerà o/i e saranno 12 tracce e, come per i/o , in occasione di ogni luna piena Gabriel condividerà una traccia dell’album con due mix (Dark-Side Mix di Tchad Blake e Bright-Side Mix di Mark ‘Spike’ Stent) insieme a un’opera d’arte visiva a sua scelta. 

Capitolo Primus: Tim “Herb” Alexander ha lasciato la band, quindi Les Calypool attraverso un annuncio, ha selezionato tra oltre 6000 curriculum il nuovo batterista, si chiama John Hoffman, Les Claypool ha recentemente affermato che:

Nel frattempo a maggio uscirà il nuovo album del progetto The Claypool Lennon Delirium dal titolo The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy.

Capitolo The Cure. sappiamo oramai da almeno 3 anni, che sono pronti due nuovi album più il disco solista di Robert Smith, le data ancora non si sanno, ma il periodo potrebbe essere settembre. Stesso discorso vale per Zack de la Rocha che aspettiamo da almeno due anni, così come i Rolling Stones, e gli U2? Staremo ma vedere.
